Tom Bootsma

Dr. Tom Bootsma is a postdoctoral fellow with a medical background at the Department of Public Health at Erasmus MC, where he is part of the Medical Decision-Making research team. Since 2021, he has been a member of the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) Quality of Life Group, working as a study coordinator for the health-related quality of life sarcoma project and collaborating on several other international projects.

His current international research, funded by the EORTC Quality of Life Group, focuses on assessing health-related quality of life among sexual and gender minority cancer patients, including what to measure (content) and how to measure it (language). He was selected to participate in the 2024 Sexual & Gender Minority Curricula to Advance Research and Education Workshop in Houston, Texas.
